Drawing Elton Chigumbura

It’s been over a month since I have updated this site with new content. January Fenruary was a very busy month for me and I did not have enough weekend time to finish drawing Elton Chigumbura in one sitting,  I actually started the pencil drawing in the middle of January but It took until this weekend to get down to colouring it and finally getting the video ready for uploading. The gremlins were at play during the editing process, with my computer acting up which delayed the editing and uploading process somewhat. Be that as it may, the drawing and video are now complete and I hope you like them as much as I liked creating them. This was special for me because Zimbabwe is my home country and I enjoyed watching them play, even though they did not manage to proceed to the quarter finals of the tourament.

My initial plan was to draw all the captains of the World Cup cricket teams but unfortumately I will not be able to do all of them anymore because by the time I finish, the work will have lost its relevance because the #cwc15 is ending soon. However, I will still do at least one more before the tournament ends.

Here is a list of the materials that I used for drawing Elton Chigumbura.

Prismacolour coloured pencils, 72 set.

Derwent electric eraser

Vivess 0.5 mm lead pencil

Uni-ball Signo broad UM-153 white pigment ink pen

Edding 780 creative 0.8 mm white pigment ink pen

Pilot G-2 07 white pen
